Reviews for The Shoe Box

Robert M. Moores has woven a wonderful tale that is heartwarming to read. It reassures our faith in God and teaches you some valuable lessons on life as a whole. The Shoe Box is a reassurance of the good in mankind, reiterating the fact that there are many good people in our lives who are willing to help us during times of despair. They act as messengers of God while we come to terms with what has happened and work towards rebuilding what is to come.

Debjeet Mukherjee-Readers' Favorite Five Star Review

A touching drama that tackles its sensitive subject matter very well, this is a story in which a young girl deals with the tragedy and trauma of losing her father when she was four years old. Trapped between her past and her future, we follow Violet closely through her emotional journey to the discovery of the titular shoe box in the attic. Author Robert M. Moores has crafted a beautiful and emotionally intelligent work that deals with grief and loss in a caring fashion. One of the things which most impressed me about this story was its commitment to character and close narrative style, which not only gives us an accurate portrayal of the thoughts and feelings of the young heroine, but also a highly relatable account of how trauma and loss can haunt us from our youth.
